Top-Performing Del Taco Franchise Partners Open New Locations in Michigan, Utah and Washington

Del Taco continues to pave the way for growth in 2019, celebrating recent openings with big-time franchise group Team Schostak Family Restaurants and multi-unit franchisees Paul Hitzelberger and Mark Miller, who are both members of Del Taco’s Franchise Marketing Advisory Team.

Hitzelberger and Team Schostak’s locations joined the ranks in February, with Hitzelberger opening the doors to a restaurant in Logan, Utah, and Team Schostak adding another location in their portfolio in Shelby Township, Michigan.

The Shelby Township location is their 7th Del Taco restaurant in the Detroit market and their first under a recent commitment to open 12 more restaurants over the next several years.

Consumers across the country are consistently requesting a Del Taco in their town, demanding the fresh, quality and craveable food that the brand is known for. In fact, one article reports that Hitzelberger received numerous requests from Logan residents for a Del Taco restaurant in their town for several years. With more than 33 restaurants in Utah and 18 years of franchising experience with the brand, Hitzelberger explains that he wanted wait for the right location and the right team when he expanded his Utah footprint into Logan.

Miller recently celebrated the opening of his 14th overall Del Taco restaurant in Lacey, Washington in March. This was the second location in the Greater Seattle area, but the first store to open there in 10 years, and guests were thrilled. Miller is set to ramp up growth over the course of this year, planning to open 3 additional restaurants in the Pacific Northwest before the end of 2019.

With more than 580 locations in 14 states, Del Taco has a strong presence across the western United States, with plenty of room for franchise partners to grow in both existing and untapped markets.
