Proud as Del: 2018 National Leadership Conference Celebrates Growth

Del Taco has plenty of reasons to be “Proud as Del.” The leading QSR+ powerhouse is aggressively expanding across the United States, with more than 560 locations and counting, spread across 14 states. In fact, the brand boasts new unit growth numbers in the mid-20s, approximately half of which will be built by franchisees. The Southern California-rooted company recently celebrated the continued growth of its business and the hard-working leaders who are making it happen during its 2018 National Leadership Conference.

Spreading excitement about the brand’s mission, vision and what the future of Del Taco looks like, this conference built off the energy and momentum from the brand’s two Leadership Academies earlier this year, where several franchisees were awarded for their stellar performance throughout all of 2017. Female franchisees Kathe Ewing and Linda Vanderweel were able to etch their names in stone as “Franchisee of the Year” for 1-4 restaurants and 5+ restaurant categories, respectively.

Along with the developments in its accelerated growth, this year’s conference provided the opportunity to discuss next generation design initiatives and growth strategies in Eastern and Western areas. Following the momentum of its brand refresh this past summer, Del Taco is looking to continue to elevate awareness to the consumer of its fresh food, made to order working kitchen by taking this fresh vibe outside with redesigned drive-thru experiences, as well as in the dining room with authenticity of ingredients and food showcased to the guests in each restaurant.

If there’s one thing that exemplifies how proud Del Taco’s leadership team and its franchisees are, it’s the overwhelming pride felt all around to be a part of a brand that’s straying away from the norm in QSR and Fast Casual spaces.
