Del Taco in the News: Entrepreneur's Franchise 500®

It’s official: Del Taco ranks amongst the top third of franchise brands across the United States! One of the nation’s leading Mexican QSR+ brands was recently named to Entrepreneur magazine’s 41st annual Franchise 500® list, climbing up nearly 80 spots from last year’s ranking.

The recognition received by Del Taco highlights the tremendous strides made by the company in 2019 in its quest to evolve to a more franchisee-driven model. Del Taco continued its growth during 2019, with over half of its new restaurants being franchise openings, expanding its footprint to more than 580 restaurants in 15 states.

This announcement comes upon the heels of two major development deals that include a 10-unit agreement with longtime franchisee Mark Miller and an up to 21-unit agreement with SoCal Food Group, which also purchased 10 existing company-operating restaurants in San Diego. Del Taco has major growth in store for 2020!
